    Marine

Marine Atlantic’s modern car ferries operate all year round from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port aux Basques in western Newfoundland. Throughout the summer, a second ferry sails from North Sydney to Argentia, bringing you to within an hour or two of St. John’s. A variety of ferries or coastal boats operating on a year-round and seasonal basis service island and remote coastal communities. We recommend that you make reservations for Marine Atlantic and local ferries prior to travel. Ferry information/reservation service can be obtained by telephone:

    Marine Atlantic:

For information regarding local ferry service:
    1-800-563-6353

Drive to North Sydney, Nova Scotia and then travel across the ocean on the largest super-ferries in North America (call for reservations toll free 1-800-341-7981). Sail on Marine Atlantic year-round to Port aux Basques. Or during the summer months, take the longer route to Argentia.
